The reason for this is because generally the more days a house stays on the market the worse it is for the seller. Accumulated days on market gives off the impression something is "wrong" with the home and it is considered a "stale" listing. So, the seller begins to feel a bit more pressure to get it sold, and when they do, they typically lower the price. I LOVE seeing price reductions on homes for this very reason. Price reductions = motivated sellers. Motivated sellers = buyers advantage. Make sense?
